Maintenance
An unmaintained WordPress site is a security risk, a performance liability, and an emergency waiting to happen. We keep your site healthy so you can focus on your business.
Why Maintenance Matters
WordPress powers over 40% of the web, which makes it a target. Outdated plugins, unpatched vulnerabilities, and neglected updates are how sites get hacked. And when a site goes down or gets compromised, it’s never at a convenient time.
Beyond security, there’s performance. Sites slow down over time — database bloat, unoptimized images, outdated code, plugin conflicts. What launched fast can grind to a crawl without regular attention. And slow sites lose visitors, hurt SEO, and cost you conversions.
Then there’s the stuff that just breaks. A plugin update conflicts with your theme. A form stops sending emails. Something looks wrong on mobile and nobody noticed for weeks. Small issues become big problems when no one’s watching.
Maintenance isn’t glamorous, but it’s what keeps your site working the way it should — secure, fast, and reliable. And when something does go wrong, you have someone who knows your site and can fix it quickly.
What’s Included
Maintenance plans are tailored to each client’s needs. Some sites need full-service coverage; others just need the basics handled. Here’s what we can include:
WordPress Core Updates — WordPress core updates are provided for all hosted clients.
Plugin & Theme Updates — Outdated plugins are the most common entry point for attacks. We keep everything updated and monitor for conflicts.
Security Monitoring — We monitor for malware, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity. If something’s wrong, we catch it early.
Backups — Regular automated backups stored offsite, so your site can be restored quickly if anything goes wrong.
Uptime Monitoring — We monitor your site and get notified immediately if it goes down.
Performance Checks — Periodic checks to ensure your site is loading fast and running efficiently. If something’s slowing it down, we address it.
Content & Minor Updates — Small changes like text edits, image swaps, or adding a new blog post. We handle anything you don’t want to.
Priority Support — When something breaks or you need help, you go to the front of the line. No waiting, no support tickets disappearing into a queue.
How plans vary: Every site is different. Some clients need plugin updates and security monitoring but handle their own content. Others want us to manage everything. Our hosting includes core WordPress updates, backups, and baseline security monitoring — so every client gets that foundation. Beyond that, we build a plan around what your site actually needs and what you’d rather not deal with yourself.
What’s not included: Major redesigns, new feature development, or significant structural changes fall outside maintenance. The same goes for fixes needed due to a hack, plugin conflicts, or issues caused by third-party tools — those are scoped as separate projects. Maintenance keeps your site healthy and reduces the risk of these problems, but when they do happen, the repair work is billed separately.
